It's been a while since I've dunked a quad into a river........good thing I didn't
Fpv gets a lot more fun when your following a specific object. Glad that puddle didn't take me out completely tho
Low and fast, fast and low
Just a casual stroll. This spots starting to turn into a great location to do some general testing and tuning. Before really heading up the dirt roads
And the quick flight that made all that funny business worth it.
When you're trying to sneak in a quick flight before the clouds roll in. I got super lucky on this flight, if @bensonk42 haven't told me to hurry up and land, I could have very well lost this quad. This is another reason why having a spotter when doing long range is so important, I had no idea the clouds had already rolled in to cover up our takeoff and landing spot. Any longer and I wouldn't have been able to find home, in addition to the moisture in the cloud possibly blocking my signal, causing me to lose video and or control link.
@hobbywing 2306 1600kv with a high pitched prop like the @azure.power 5150 is by far the best freestyle setup I have. It's suppppper smooth off the bat, even with just a default tune. And is ultra efficient. I can easily fly out a couple km with just my usual beat up 1250mah 6s race packs. Also because of the lower KV, you gain a whole bunch of throttle resolution down low. Allowing you do ease your self out of dive or tricks smoothly, without any "turbo lag" feel that higher kv motors can have. The 2306 1600kv are also great on 6" if you want to get even longer flight times.
When it's too rainy and cloudy to fly? Why not do some durability testing
The snow is coming. Starting to find bigger and bigger patches of snow, especially up at higher elevations. I can't wait for more snow, but I also long for those late summer days, where the sun would still be shining past 9pm.
It's always a bit nerve wracking taking a new quad out beyond reasonable recovery. But it's also nice to learn to trust a new rig.

Where Its Not Rainy
The snow is coming. Found some of the good white stuff up at the pass today. Also built up a second prototype frame to do some durability testing. What to crash into...probably a tree, maybe some rocks
