Now that I'm finally home from my weeks of travel, I'll have time to sort through and post of some of the epic spots I've got to fly. I might even work on a Youtube edit or two! Here's one from hanging out with @fpvprovo and @skyberries_fpv in their own stomping grounds
Lost my first quad today 😩with a hero 6 attached. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Do you even formation bro? With @gab707_fpv @skyberries_fpv @uvify
The last flight, just as the sun has disappeared beyond the horzion
All the way back down. Probably the best chutes I've ever flown, all packed into one beautiful little canyon.
@jawzfpv checking out the new @fatsharkrc HDO goggles. He says "they're awesome, crisp" . A man of many words
All the way up
Well the second I thought I got home from Utah, it's on the road again. This time off to Las Vegas for some DRL action. All the commercial work and freestyling has been fun, but I'm excited to spice things up again with some competition. Haven't really had a chance to practice at all since the last race. But I have been flying almost every day. Honestly that's enough practice for me, it's not about practicing racing. If you're comfortable flying anything in FPV, then racing should just happen second nature. . Random pic of the train over to my gate at Sea-Tac Airport
I think this might be my first hawk encounter, was out in Utah minding my own business with @fpvprovo when suddenly a hawk started to check me out. If he decided to take me out that definitely would have been the end of my quad, so what do ya do other than take evasive action.
Hanging with @fpvprovo up in his home turf
Mountain cruiser, gonna hit some mountains in Snowbird, Utah (with permission from the resort). This build is my first foray into butterflight. It's got a Helio FC in there but everything else is my usual build, HW 4:1 ESC, F80 2200kv, 6" gatebreaker s and my favorite battery for mountain flying, the 2200mah 5s. Got some great morning mountain dives on a fully stock tune, only think I changed was my rates. I think with a bit of tuning butterflight and the helio might be my new go-to.
So! The new new, Fatshark HDO goggles. I've had these sexy beasts for a bit over a month and a half now. And boy, if there ever was a fatshark that was worth the upgrade to, it's these. I've been rocking HD2s for years now, and have experience with HD3s in DRL. But I never felt like the upgrade from HD2>HD3 was worth it. But the upgrade to these even from an HD3 is most definitely worth it. Sure people might complain about the smaller screen, but really it's a tiiiiny bit smaller than the HD3, I didn't even notice at first. What's great about these goggles are these new OLED screens, they have such good contrast, as well as color contrast, allowing you to see in much better detail. Trees are no longer just big green blobs, you can see gradient in color. What's a real kicker is the contrast, for example, in the snow with my old goggles snow would just blow out and all be a sheet of white, but now I can see the fine detail and the grooves and bumps, allowing me to get closer to the ground and be more confident in my flying. Also, they've upgraded the regulator in he goggles, so LaForge and the True-D won't be frying goggles, and maybe the clearview won't need that ribbon cable anymore (fingers crossed) #fatshark #hdo #teambigwhoop #tinywhoop #drone #quadcopter #fpvracing #gopro #droneracing #multirotor #drl #thedroneracingleague #thunderpower #tbs #tmotor #spektrumrc #teamspektrumfpv #azurepower #hobbywing #rotorx #steez #TitanGP
